The University of Alberta offers a series of weekly, 1-hour educational sessions on Wednesdays from 12-1pm, presented by clinical experts via teleconference. Each presentation is focused on evidence-based information that is directly applicable to rural primary care and hospital environments.
Through this program, rural sites across Alberta and in other provinces receive high quality continuing medical education in a collegial setting at their local Telehealth sites. Sessions are designed primarily for physicians and are applicable to the learning needs of other healthcare professionals.
This program runs for 30 weeks from SEPTEMBER 2011 to APRIL 2012 and is offered in collaboration with the University of Calgary and supported by the Rural Physicians Action Plan (RPAP).
Please note that registrations for the Video Conference Program are on a per site basis; individual registrations are not accepted.
